L. Lester Leamon, a native of Kansas City, founded the company in September 1956.  He was a well respected claims professional during his forty-five years of experience in the industry.  Mr. Leamon remained with the firm in an advisory capacity after his retirement.  He was a valuable resource for M. Patrick Bello (current owner) as Patrick was beginning his career. 

D. Pat Bello joined the firm in 1985 and quickly expanded the Auto/Liability unit.  Shortly after that Lester Leamon, Donald Peterson & D. Pat Bello were partners, and the company changed its name from Leamon Adjustment Company to Leamon, Peterson & Bello.  

In 2010 Mr. Peterson retired, and D. Pat Bello and M. Patrick Bello became partners.  Currently, M. Patrick Bello is the sole owner.

Patrick and his wife, Katherine, have two daughters, Kate & Emily.

Leamon Adjustment Company ended up doing  quite a bit of work for Great American Group.
